CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR AWARD WINNING CPC!
The College Panhellenic Council of VCU has been recognized by the Mid-American Greek Council Association as national leaders in the following categories:

Council Management, Leadership and Education, and Self Governance and Judicial Affairs!


Alpha Epsilon Phi's national philanthropies are the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation and Sharsheret, a national Breast Cancer organization.

Sigma Sigma Sigma and Alpha Sigma Alpha are part of the Farmville Four.

Margaret Moffat Toy (Alpha Gamma Delta) is the founder of the "Meals on Wheels" program.

Phi Mu was founded on March 4, 1852 as the Philomathean Society at Wesleyan Female College in Macon, Georgia to become the second oldest secret society for women.

Phi Sigma Sigma was the first non-sectarian sorority welcoming women of all faiths and backgrounds.

Alpha Omicron Pi does not dictate its chapter designations. Each colony of the fraternity selects its own chapter name and corresponding sub-motto. The VCU chapter is Rho Beta.

Alpha Sigma Alpha was the first NPC sorority to be founded in the twentieth century. It was founded on November 15, 1901 at Longwood University in Farmville, VA.

Alpha Gamma Delta's Vision is "Inspire the Woman. Impact the World."

Ruth Bader Ginsberg (Alpha Epsilon Phi) is a Supreme Court Justice.

The Gamma Sigma Chapter of Phi Sigma Sigma became the first NPC organization at VCU on April 28, 1979.

Alpha Sigma Alpha's motto is "Aspire, Seek, Attain."

Sigma Sigma Sigma's national symbol, the sailboat, illustrates the sorority's constant forward motion.

Phi Mu's motto is "Les Soeurs Fideles" which means "The Faithful Sisters".

Pamela Anne McCullough (Alpha Gamma Delta) became the first female special agent in Dayton, Ohio for the F.B.I.

Alpha Omicron Pi's Mission Statement is "Women Enriched through Lifelong Friendship."

Phi Sigma Sigma adopted the National Kidney Foundation as its primary philanthropic cause in 1971 since at that time kidney disease was the leading cause of death in women.

Phi Mu's symbol is the quatrefoil. The quatrefoil is a very unique shape and can be traced back to early European design.

Lillian Copeland (Alpha Epsilon Phi) broke both Olympic and World Records in the discus at the 1932 Olympic Games.

Sigma Sigma Sigma was the first NPC organization to install a deaf chapter. The Epsilon Psi Chapter at Rochester Institute of Technology was installed in 1991.

Alpha Omicron's color is Cardinal and its jewel is the ruby. AOII does not have an official mascot.

Alpha Sigma Alpha adopted the Special Olympics as its official philanthropy in 1976.
