The College Panhellenic Council of Virginia Commonwealth University had one of their most successful years in recent history during the 2009-2010 academic year. The council was recognized in Tampa, Florida during the month of November by the National Panhellenic Conference at the Biennial National Panhellenic Conference Meeting with the Risk Management Award for 2007-2009. In February, CPC was named as a finalist for the best Collegiate Panhellenic Council in the nation at the Association of Fraternal Leadership and Values Central Conference in St. Louis, MO. Beyond these achievements, the council and community grew stronger as a group of women. As a community they were able to educate each and provide specific programming in the areas of body image, risk management, and hazing education. These educational opportunities have proven beneficial and allowed for growth to occur within the chapters and council. The upcoming year will be exciting for the council as they strive to become the best in the nation.
